We have traveled from the peaks of the Andes to the fertile wine valleys. We are learning new songs, Betti is getting firm at macrame bracelets and once again we are organic peasants in the south, this time for Jesus, the wine loving freestyling chapaco. We see the stratification up close, loaded Tarijeños drinking great wines alongside of drunks in the street and analfabets working hard. We have come to one of the poorest countries of South-America, Bolivia.
Across the Universe
Not a bit exaggerating, we have sailed, walked, crawled and drived across a mental universe, South America from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from Montevideo to Santiago (almost), across the beaches of Uruguay (one at least), the pampas of Argentina (in bus), the deserts of Chile (raining) and the peaks of Perú. Read on for photos and some text.
Shit that works! – back to basics in Argentina
Getting ready for taking of Jabiera & Reto`s farm in Oberá, we are filled with impressions, lessons of life, dulce de leche, new friends, various new scars from fighting the wild and a hunger for the beach. Instead of going north to Peru, we decided to go south to Uruguay, so screw the old plan and long live the playa! The next blog post will be from the Andes, so big changes ahead – love p+b.
Departures and Arrivals
Kissing friends and places goodbye, we took off a cold November morning for the new world. In the last week we quit our jobs, completed our educations, packed or sold our material belongings and shared the last time and rom with friends – thus doing a million things in very little time. Thanks to all the great people who made our departure a bit more easy and fun!
